Real numbers, up front

Most Lubbock homes land between $26 and $36 per linear foot of roofline installed, depending on complexity and time of year. Our minimum job is $1,800. Here's what that means for a home like yours.

These are guides, not quotes. Feet overlap between tiers because homes do — a long single-story front can out-measure a compact front and sides.

Why we publish our pricing

Most lighting companies make you sit through a sales visit to hear a number. We'd rather you know roughly what this costs before we ever meet — it respects your time and ours, and frankly, the value holds up under daylight.

Compare it honestly: full-service seasonal light hanging in Lubbock runs about $1,000–$1,500 the first year and roughly $600 every year after — forever, and you own nothing but a box of used strands at the end. A Trimlight system is one install with a lifetime product warranty, and for many customers the monthly payment lands near what they were already spending each season.

Pricing is by the linear foot — not by the house

Permanent lighting is priced by the linear feet of roofline being lit, plus the complexity of the install. That's why two houses on the same street can get different quotes — and why any company quoting a flat price without measuring is guessing. Published range: $25–$40 per foot, with most jobs falling in the $26–$36 band.

What moves the price

FactorEffect
Roofline lengthThe main driver — more feet of channel and diodes, higher total
Stories & pitchSecond-story and steep rooflines add install time
Gables & complexityEach peak adds cuts, wiring, and detail work
Full wrap vs. front-onlyFront-facing installs cost less; full wraps look incredible
Patios & extrasPergolas, outdoor kitchens, landscape, and globe lighting are add-ons
Time of yearOff-season installs (roughly January–August) price at the low end of our range. Once the fall rush starts, the calendar tightens and promotions are rare.

Discounts, complexity, and the honest caveats

Two things a price table can't capture. First, we run real promotions — especially in the off-season — so if you're reading this in the spring, ask what's currently available; it can be significant. Second, some homes cost more than the table suggests: very steep or high rooflines, difficult access, lift rental, or unusual architecture add labor we can't fake. We'll tell you that up front in writing, not after we're on the roof.

Our minimum job is $1,800, which covers the crew, equipment, controller, and warranty on even a small roofline.

Financing

Terms up to 60 months are available through our partner Wisetack. The simplest path is to get your free quote and ask about financing when we come out to measure. If you'd rather check first, Wisetack prequalification takes about a minute and does not place an inquiry on your credit — check here.

The cheap-kit math

DIY kits from big-box brands cost less up front — and that's real. But they're consumer-grade parts with one-year warranties, installed by you, serviced by you, and frequently replaced. A professional system with a lifetime product warranty usually costs less over ten years than several rounds of kits. We put the full comparison here: Trimlight vs Govee & DIY kits.

What is Trimlight?

Trimlight is a permanent, programmable LED lighting system professionally installed along the roofline of your home or business. The LEDs sit in a color-matched aluminum channel tucked under your eaves, so the system is nearly invisible during the day and stunning at night. You control everything — colors, patterns, schedules — from the Trimlight Edge app on your phone.

Is Trimlight really permanent? What about hail and West Texas wind?

Yes. The aluminum channel is screwed — not stapled or clipped — to your fascia, and the commercial-grade LEDs are rated for outdoor exposure year-round. West Texas wind, dust, sun, and hail are exactly what the system is engineered for, and it's backed by a lifetime warranty on the product plus a 2-year labor warranty.

Can I see the lights before I buy?

Absolutely. We'll show you real installs around Lubbock, photos of homes similar to yours, and a demo of the app so you can see exactly how patterns, dimming, and schedules work before you commit.
